Grey Oceanic and White 15 Inches High Quality Marble Chess Set

This chess set did not disappoint! The size was what I expected, and the color is beautiful. It is a grey-brown color with the white and very pretty. The pieces are a good size and they are heavy and thick. The board is heavy and thick also. This set does not come with a case. I knew this when I bought it. I am using it as a display decoration on my table so I didn’t need one with a case or one that folds up.This set seems like it will last forever, and we have already had a few battles on it just since I set it up. It seems to just call people’s names sitting in the living room and people just end up playing it when they see it there. I have gotten a lot of compliments when people come over, on how beautiful it is. I am super happy with my purchase!

Received this beautiful chess set, securely packaged, and in perfect condition. The board and chess pieces are very pretty to look at and "meaty".My only suggestion is to get your own felt or foam for the bottom of the pieces, because the foam they send with the set are all crooked which makes the pieces wobble. So I ordered some felt elsewhere.I certainly wouldn't let that dissuade you from buying this chess set - not a big deal to replace the felt/foam.

While the board is attractive, as are the pieces, they are definitely *not* weighted. If you’re used to weighted pieces, expect to knock over the taller pieces—I thought I was just clumsy until a friend of mine also noted that the pieces weren’t weighted as you’d normally expect with chess pieces (although the pieces are marble, so they have have heft, just not triple weighted bottoms).Still give this four stars since it does look handsome in the my living room (I have received some compliments on it). No broken pieces, board was also whole—no chips). One star off is for claiming the set is weighted when it is not.

We wanted a classy chess set that we could leave on display and we got it! This is definitely hand-made, as you can see a couple minor imperfections in the board and carved pieces, but nothing that detracts from the look or playability. The pieces aren't super detailed, but are distinguishable. We looked at a few options and settled on this one with a 16 inch board in grey and white marble; it looks great and feels solid, the board and pieces are a good size. If you're shopping around for a nice stone set at a good price then I recommend this one!

I gifted this to my fiancé for his birthday and he was beyond thrilled. The value for money and the detail that went into making and packaging this item was fantastic. It was packaged with such care to protect the pieces and came with a personalized note from the shop. They also sell an amazing carrying case for the set to protect/make it easier to transport. This set will definitely last us for decades and I can see us one day playing chess with our kids with it. Couldn't be more thrilled with the product.
