Red and Coral Natural Marble Checkers Pieces Set

The base of these pieces are not perfectly flat. They seem to have a slight hump in the middle making them able to rock a bit when touched. Also there off by about 1/8 inch from piece to piece but unoticeable when playing. I don't use the felt pads because the pieces are very smooth and won't scratch my board and the pads make it very difficult to move a piece with one finger. They do not stack as well as plastic pieces but the heavy weight can prevent them from sliding off too easy. You just have to be careful and get used to them. The good is there beautiful and heavy. None of mine came broken. These pieces are 1 and 1/4 inch in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. I ordered black and white because that's the highest contrast making them easy to distinguish from your piece to opponent piece. These came with a foam case that you could store them in when not in use . I wanted something stronger to store them so I used a large Ovaltine plastic container that's labelled, 400 g. They look okay on a board I made with 1.5 inch squares. I would recommend

Really nice material. Smooth. Solid. Perfect weight. Good thickness. A tad small in terms of diameter, for my taste. Thickness is good. They come with adhesive felt stickers so they don't scratch your board. But our board has a leather-like material so it wasn't necessary. Plus, with the felt, the pieces seem a little tall. We have an antique wooded game table and my wife wanted some nice pieces for backgammon and/or checkers - not plastic junk. These fit the bill. And one side has circular decorations; the bottom is flat and smooth. We found the sat well on our board. Very happy with this purchase.

The pieces are attractive and have a good weight to them. Arrived on time. One piece arrived broken but luckily it was a clean break so I used gorilla glue to piece back together. Overall I am pleased with the purchase. I used on a 21 inch board.

Perfect size and weight for checker pieces. Shown on a 2” square board with Talavera tile. Exactly what I needed to compliment the board.
